My brother and I are really close with each other. We usually go out of town with our parents. Since we only have each other (because we are the only children that our parents has), we see to it that we will have many happy memories with together. We have different likes and dislikes when it comes to having a fun time. He loves swimming and I don&r...

This chapter is great.  All I gotta say is, if you follow the counsel of the Lord, all will be well. Oh, yeah, also - Zemnarihah had to have had a brain about the size of a peanut.  Great way to get all of your people killed....

Okay...  So the past few chapters, I've been ragging on how wishy-washy the average human soul must be in order for signs of the Messiah's birth to be taken so lightly... Well... This chapter leads me to believe that there were still quite a few believers who held true through all of the dissenting. The part I liked most about this chapter...

Ya know... I think these chapters are meant to teach us how frail the hearts of men are.  Okay... Here's a good question..  How long did it take the Nephites to go from "seeing the sign of the birth of Jesus Christ" (this is *Christ* we're talking about here.  *The Messiah*.  How long did it take them from seeing that ...

So, we're starting 3rd Nephi.  This should prove to be interesting. The first thing I noticed was, again, how quickly (and stupidly) people make up excuses for that which is obviously true. I imagine that living during the time all these miracle were happening (and increasing), would be such a gift.  The signs and miracles profesied b...

I'm always slightly dumbfounded while pondering on the things that wicked men come up with to justify the signs given by prophets... "Oh no, we can't hit this guy who is telling us we're wicked, so he must have a devil!  GET HIM!" "Oh my!  All these miracles that are happening just as the prophets said they would - can'...

Very interesting that the word "hate" is used in this context.  Very interesting, indeed.  I'm not quite sure what to make of it, but it's quite interesting there were no other words chosen.  I find it difficult to associate the word "hate" with God.  I've gotta ponder on that one for a bit. "Freedom&q...

Advanced Budget Studios has been gearing up to build a control room, so we haven't had many clients come in lately, but when Fatigi comes calling, we definitely listen. Tonight's session was spent sprucing up some previous recordings,  Fishing For The Sun got a complete guitar overhaul, which made an already-awesome song even better.  S...

Since I don't blog very much I thought I would add just a whole bunch of fun pictures of the kids with the latest things that have been going on.  So enjoy! Above: This is the best Mother's Day picture we could get.  The sun was shining right in the kids eyes.   Luci on her Zoo field trip.  This was my group. ...

This chapter was interesting.  The first thing I noticed is that Samuel had some serious insight as to things of God.  He prophesied of the destruction of the entire Nephite nation in the last chapter, and in this chapter, he details quite specifically, events which were to occur at both the birth and the death of Christ.  Interestin...

Well....  From the first eight verses of this chapter, I could write pages.  The first verse itself is a great testament to the veracity of Jacob 4:13, which states that the Holy Ghost "speaketh the truth and lieth not". Because we all can be under the influence of the Holy Ghost (and worthy members have the opportunity to ha...

Ya know...  After reading this through, with the previous chapters I've read in mind, I think I'm understanding a bit more about what Abinadi is talking about. The wicked priests quote him the scripture in Isaiah which says that prophets are supposed to proclaim peace in order to basically tell Abinadi off, because he was definitely not proc...

This morning i had to go and work on a box at 8:30 and my grandpa came and picked me up at my house. But since well its my grandpa we didnt end up leaving until about 10:00 but we got there and still got the job done which is awesome and i made twenty bucks. But finally for the first i got to drive a truck on the roads for the first time. And i hav...

Lately, I've been studying the D&C, and I came upon section 76, which isn't anything new to me, personally. I studied that section quite a bit during my mission. However, this time the coincidence of my reading this days after one of my co-workers came over and asked me"Are there any sins that Christ's atonement don't cover?" Worded that way...

Okay.... Something weird is happening inside me. I feel a churning in my gut. I feel spindles on my skin... I feel hair growing out of my HEAD!!!!! Oh wait... Ummm.... No I don't. None of it is true. So..... I go to work today and I'm talking with Matt (the new developer, er... lead developer) and .... we're having a heart-to-heart and f...

After months of waiting I finally got internet so I found this journal site...and I must say it is pretty good. I place that I feel at home. I am a convert to LDS but I have never felt so accepted by so many people. Thank you all...

This is an audio recording of tonight.  FHE is included. That's about it....

As many of you know, I recently upgraded the exhaust on my 2007 Mustang GT. Well... Tonight, I had to take it out to see what I could do.  So, I went the usual route and didn't find much more than a crappy 90's Eclipse that wanted to play.  After almost an hour of dragging back and forth, lady luck just didn't have it in for me tonight...

I've been working a bit on adding the possibility of video journaling to ILoveMyJournal.com. I'm not 100% sure if it will work well enough for those who are less technically inclined, but today I was able to get a proof-of-concept working. One of my journal entries now has a video (the video is of the UVSC Car Show put on yesterday). Just to ...

Something I thought I'd write down, because it took me forever to figure out, has been a bug for at least a year, and nobody seems to be doing anything about it. The bug is quite simple really, and once you know where to look for it, it pretty much stops being a bug due to an extremely easy work-around. The bug is concerning network cards plugg...

I was sifting through my various RSS feeds a couple of minutes ago, and one popped up from TomsHardware which I thought might be interesting.  So I opened it up in my browser, and before I could even read the title, my eyes were drawn to this ad by Microsoft.  The image itself isn't very funny, but man-oh-man, the captions which came to m...

Some people won't believe this, but last Tuesday evening, I went to a Jazz game.  My good friend Scott called me up, told me he had some kick-butt tickets, got the "okay" from my wife, and we were off! The game was fun, but making fun of the game was even funner.  I'll have to admit, though, it was pretty cool.  The video ...

Okay...  As most of you know, I use Linux for pretty much everything I do which requires a computer.  When I started using Linux, I waffled between KDE and Gnome for probably 6-10 months when I finally settled on Gnome.  I haven't looked back since.... almost. About 6 months ago, Gnome came out with a release which implemented the...

Three things stood out at me during tonight's study session: 1. I wonder where the translation of the plates of Lehi are right now?  I've never read the history of the Chuch, so I don't know if it's documented there, but Joseph Smith had them, and had them returned to him after he lost them.  Did he destroy them?  Are they somewhe...

I don't even know where to start.  Let's start at the beginning... So, 10 years ago, I got a hair-brained idea to buy a keyboard and start writing and recording music.  Seven years ago I thought it'd be a good idea to get a mic kit for my drums to learn how to record drums better.  Three years ago the studio had its first paying c...

Last Saturday, I woke up much earlier than I should have in order to go down and help my good friend Scott wash his cars, in preparation for his selling them. After washing his other two cars, we decided to wash my car, and to be honest, I was a bit skeptical as to how this "great new car washing" system would work.  Well...  ...

Since I began using Ardour to record music, (and more music), I've always managed to have the same problem crop up, year after year.  The symptoms of this problem are annoying to say the least. I'm running all my audio through an M-Audio 1010 digital interface and I use envy24control to monitor and adjust the channels via. software.  I ...

A while ago, Advanced Budget Studios had the privilege of working with the author of a great book in a voice-over.  The author's name is Phillip Jones, and his book is called Worlds of the Crystal Moon. When I was contacted to help out with the voice-over, I had no idea what to expect, and I wasn't sure what Phillip was expecting, either.&n...

Growing up, I'd have to say that I was a bit of a pious punk religiously, but I was so due, in large amount, to my being incredibly naive. To demonstrate my naive-ness, I really thought that being emotional was pretty much the same as being spiritual.  Yes...  Believe it.  I was naive. One other bit of heretical doctrine I beli...
