Obama on Jay Leno
While my wife and I were watching The Office tonight, we got wind of President Obama being on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, so we decided to stay up to watch it.

Well, I just got done watching it, and before I forget, I have to write down some initial thoughts.

To begin, I am by absolutely no means whatsoever any source of any credible political information, so, take note.  This is just stuff I found interesting.

I'm a fan of Glenn Beck, and I occasionally listen to Rush Limbaugh.  I don't know of anything too liberal that I listen to or watch (I never watch the news or any other political show on TV), so my bias leans toward being conservative.

Seeing Obama on Leno tonight was - very interesting.

The first thing my wife and I both noticed was that Obama really had a wicked sense of humor.  He was really entertaning to watch!

A few of the questions Leno asked him were of a serious nature, and from what I could tell, given a serious answer.

The thing I thought was the coolest, was all of the answers given about the economy and mortgages (which is all I can remember right now), were given in such a way that almost anyone could understand what he was talking about.  And they were.... well...  They were very good answers.  I don't know yet if I agree with them or not, but they were very thought provoking.

Anyway...  I've been pretty opposed to Obama, and this is the first time I've seen him in an environment that didn't have 200 teleprompters everywhere.  Was it scripted?  Probably, but it seemed authentic.  So...  Who knows.

The little I can say that I do know about politics, is that I really, really hope Obama does good to the economy - and that's about it.

That's all for now.

Jas, I experienced the same thing. After the news I was getting ready for bed, & I heard that the President was going to be on Leno & so I thought--what the heck, I think I'll leave the TV on & see what happens. I was surprised at how impressed I was. I actually understood a good portion of what was discussed & agreed with a lot of what the Pres. said. We'll see-- only time will tell. It will be great if he can actually accomplish what he said could be done.  Call me if you need anything while you are alone!!
