Random Ramblings...
Ya know...  It's that time again.  I've gotta sit here and see where the keyboard attached to my brain takes me.  I wonder how many people could do this.  I mean, I've always been kind of the weird one of the bunch - and I'm okay with that.

When I came up with the idea to have an on-line journal (about the time that the whole blogging concept took off), most people thought I was crazy to put my journal online.  Even my wife says I put too much personal stuff in here, but - oh well.  If you don't like it, don't read it.

"The more appropriately transparent you are, the easier life will be", says I.

Anywho.. I didn't really intend on writing that.  Oh well.

Yesterday, I had an appointment to record a band in my studio, and had a blast doing that.  I'm pondering how I can use the revenue to improve the musical side of my life.  Not entirely sure at this point.  Time will tell...

Then, after I was done with that, I was 30 minutes late to band practice with Plan B.  We've got some gigs coming up this summer, and we haven't practiced at all.  Man...  Practicing with them was awesome.  It was familiar, and everyone was itching to play.  We had a ball.  I could only practice for an hour, because my Mom and Dad were coming to visit us at 3:00, so I blasted back home and had a very enjoyable chat with my parents.

During their visit, we decided to go down and tour around our investment property, and everyone who hadn't seen it was very, very impressed at what they saw.  From now, I anticipate the house being done within 2 or 3 weeks, and when it's done, we're really hopeful that we can get it rented with little problem.  While we were down there, a lady came running up to the door, to ask if she could tour around the house too, and that she was interested in it.  So...  Here's to hoping.

After that, we saw my wonderful parents off heading back to their home in Farmington, and ran down to play "Sing Star" with some neighbors with whom we're friends.  Hehe... We had a blast.  Let's just say I can't sing as well as people think I can.  Man... Me singing "Survivor" by Destiny's Child will most assuredly haunt me forever.  Had a good time, though.

Then we came back home, put the kids to bed, and got ourselves ready for a quiet night.

Ya know, I'm not quite as worried now about renting our property.  Initially, we bought it to flip it for a proft, and of course, that didn't happen - at all.  So now we're going to try our hand at being landlords.  The house really is gorgeous, both inside and out, so we'll hope we get some good renters who will take care of it.

So... That's about it for now.  Just had to take the opportunity of writing in my journal while the family is taking their Sunday naps.

I love peaceful weekends.  This one has definitely been one I've needed for awhile.  Doing what I love, and then relaxing on the Sabbath.
