Some quotes from the talk I found quite inspiring:

Are we consciously creating righteous traditions, or is life just happening to us? Are our traditions being created in response to the loud voices of the world, or are they influenced by the still, small voice of the Spirit? Are the traditions that we are creating in our families going to make it easier for our children to follow the living prophets, or will they make it difficult for them?

If every time there is a challenge our hearts turn first and always to our Father in Heaven for direction, we will be in a safe place. If our children know where we stand and we always stand on the Lord’s side, we know we are where we need to be.

When I was at BYU, I made an effort to always study my scriptures daily.  I valued the scriptures and was very interested in learning them.  In order to assure myself of daily study, I needed to find some way to schedule it in.  I didn't like getting up any earlier in the day than necessary, so studying before class was out.  I did homework daily, so I figured that if I forced myself to study the scriptures before studying my classwork, I could be fairly sure it'd get done every day.

Sure enough, it worked, and before I knew it, on the days I forgot to study my scriptures, as soon as I picked up a book to study, I would unconsciously think to myself, "Have I studied my scriptures today?".  If I hadn't, I would.  Worked out pretty well.

For me, the daily scripture study became a habit, and a tradition.

I love the line, " Are we consciously creating righteous traditions, or is life just happening to us?" , because one thing we cannot control even a little tiny bit is the passing of time.  Time will continue passing no matter what.  Are we taking control of our lives by choosing the right consciously, or are we just letting life go by?

All in all, great talk.  I need to be better in spending time creating traditions which would better my family.
